Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Category Manager to join our dynamic team in Dubai, specializing in Information Technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT procurement and category management, combined with strategic thinking and excellent negotiation skills. This role is pivotal in driving the growth and efficiency of our IT product categories, ensuring we meet the diverse needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Category Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies that align with the overall business objectives. Identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the IT sector to enhance category performance.

- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Conduct regular performance reviews, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).

- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to understand competitive landscapes, pricing strategies, and emerging technologies. Utilize insights to inform category strategy and decision-making.

- Budget Management: Oversee category budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and monitoring of expenditures to achieve financial targets. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment on category initiatives and product offerings. Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory management.

- Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of category initiatives. Analyze data and provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.

- Innovation and Product Development: Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements. Drive innovation by identifying new product opportunities and enhancing existing offerings to meet customer demands.

- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations related to procurement and supplier management. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the category.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPM) is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in category management within the Information Technology sector.
- Proven track record of successful supplier negotiation and management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various teams.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
