Job Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Credit Counselor to join our dynamic retail team in Dubai. This role is vital in helping customers understand and manage their credit options, providing tailored advice and strategies to improve their financial health. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in credit counseling, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation: Conduct one-on-one consultations with clients to assess their financial situations, credit histories, and needs. Provide expert advice on credit management and debt reduction strategies.
- Financial Education: Develop and deliver informative workshops and seminars on credit management, budgeting, and financial literacy to enhance customer understanding of credit products and services.
- Credit Analysis: Analyze clients' credit reports, identify areas for improvement, and create personalized action plans to help them achieve their financial goals.
- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on retail credit products and services, including personal loans, credit cards, and financing options, to provide clients with accurate information and recommendations.
- Debt Management Plans: Assist clients in developing effective debt management plans, including negotiating with creditors on behalf of clients when necessary.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all counseling sessions are documented in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.
- Follow-Up: Monitor clients' progress towards their financial goals and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales and collections, to ensure a cohesive approach to customer service and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in credit counseling, financial advising, or a related field, preferably within the retail sector.
- Strong understanding of credit laws, regulations, and financial products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide clear, actionable advice.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software applications.
- Certification in credit counseling or financial planning is an advantage.
