Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team in Dubai's consumer goods sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal and internal guidelines. This role involves monitoring compliance processes, conducting audits, and providing training to staff to promote a culture of compliance within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on relevant local, regional, and international regulations impacting the consumer goods industry.
- Implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to laws and regulations, including product safety, labeling, and marketing practices.

2. Policy Development:
- Develop, review, and update internal policies and procedures to maintain compliance with legal standards and internal guidelines.
- Facilitate the communication of policies to all employees and ensure understanding and adherence.

3. Monitoring and Auditing:
- Conduct regular audits of company operations to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Identify potential compliance risks and develop action plans to address these issues effectively.

4. Training and Awareness:
- Organize and deliver training sessions for employees on compliance-related topics, including ethical conduct, anti-bribery, and data protection.
- Foster a culture of compliance by promoting awareness and understanding of compliance responsibilities across all levels of the organization.

5. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of compliance activities, audits, and training sessions.
- Generate compliance reports for senior management and relevant stakeholders, highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations for improvement.

6. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and legal advisors to ensure the company meets its compliance obligations.
- Respond to inquiries or concerns from employees, management, or external parties regarding compliance issues.

7. Risk Assessment:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify compliance vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Monitor changes in the regulatory landscape and assess the potential impact on the organization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) is a plus.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, preferably within the consumer goods industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to the consumer goods sector in the UAE and internationally.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to assess complex compliance issues.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software.
