Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Urban Forester to join our dynamic team in Dubai, specializing in the intersection of urban forestry and the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in urban forestry, environmental science, or a related field, and will bring innovative solutions to enhance the green infrastructure of our urban landscapes while considering the unique demands of the pharmaceutical sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Urban Forestry Management: Develop and implement comprehensive urban forestry plans that align with the environmental and health objectives of the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on enhancing biodiversity and ecosystem services.

- Site Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of existing urban green spaces, identifying opportunities for tree planting, landscaping, and habitat restoration that support both urban ecology and pharmaceutical operational needs.

- Tree Selection and Care: Recommend appropriate tree species and landscaping options that not only thrive in Dubai�s climate but also contribute to air quality improvement and provide potential medicinal benefits.

- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, urban planners, and pharmaceutical facility managers to integrate green spaces into new and existing developments, ensuring compliance with local regulations and sustainability practices.

- Community Engagement: Lead educational programs and workshops to engage the community and stakeholders in urban forestry initiatives, promoting awareness of the benefits of trees and green spaces in urban settings.

- Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest research in urban forestry, environmental science, and their applications within the pharmaceutical industry, contributing insights to enhance our organizational practices.

- Monitoring and Reporting: Develop metrics for the health and growth of urban forestry projects, providing regular reports and updates to management and stakeholders on the progress and impact of initiatives.

- Policy Advocacy: Advocate for policies and programs that support urban forestry initiatives, working with local government and environmental organizations to promote sustainable practices in urban planning.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field. A Master�s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in urban forestry, landscape management, or related fields, preferably with exposure to the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
- Strong understanding of plant science, tree health, urban ecology, and sustainable practices.
- Proven experience in project management and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to analyze data and produce reports for various audiences.
- Proficient in GIS and other relevant software tools for environmental planning and management.
